Justin Bieber's Christmas Eve Twitter prank alleging to his 'retirement' (yeah, that's not happening) might have to become a reality sooner than we thought.
His concert documentary 'Believe' earned only $3.1 million during it's first 3 days in the United States. To put it in perspective...the debut of his first concert movie 'Never Say Never' in 2011 grossed almost TEN TIMES that amount, opening at $29 million and taking $70 million in total.
And in case you need more to compare this to:
- In August of 2013, One Direction's 'This Is Us' doc debuted to $15.8 million, earning $28.9 million
- 'Miley Cyrus: Best of Both World Concert Tour' in 2008 opened with $31.1 million
- The Jo Bro's documentary from 2009 earned nearly $13 million, despite only being shown in select theaters
Do you think it's about time Bieb's peaced out of the music scene, or do you still 'Believe' in him? Take our poll!
